My story

my story

I started coaching because I felt trapped by my income in my career as a contract business analyst.

I spent 9 years trying to create businesses that would replace my income with mixed success but never near enough to replace my income. Something needed to change. I needed to focus on running towards something that I loved rather than moving away from something that no longer motivated me.

I discovered a new work ‘box’ of adventurer in Feb 2019. This made me smile and feel at home (and still does). Later on in 2019 I decided that I wanted to follow the laws of nature as these would give me a strong and unchanging foundation. I was constantly reading books about personal change, growth, agile and organisational transformation. My logical mind says that I needed a more solid answer than ‘just read this book and it will provide you the answer’. I had no idea what that meant in practice.

At the same time I decided I wanted to contribute by helping people to evolve (i.e. grow from where they are) as a more meaningful and realistic contribution. This lead me to coaching as it allows people to find a route which works for them. When I found Earthself and Tabi which was offering transformation change coaching with nature I was hooked!

My decision to help people trapped in corporates by their income (and contract business analysts in particular) was driven by a vision in the form of a question.

What difference would we make to the world if we are all able to experience the joy of fully expressing our inner nature?

Notice that my emotions were guiding me throughout this journey whether pushing me away from something that was constrictive and deenergising or towards something that was exciting, motivating and where I felt at home.
