How to avoid being a BA contractor until you retire
You don’t want to be a BA contractor until you retire but it can be very difficult to change when you rely on the income.
So the first thing to do is get to grips with the money side. To overcome your worry about this so you are in control. I have some advice on this in Why you worry about your income and how to get past this.
The next step is to start figuring out what you can do instead.
Now a lot of people invest time in business ideas which is what you may well need to do (especially if the idea of working for any employer fills you with dread!).
If you’re open to the idea of employment you’re probably wondering what job you would enjoy. And how to secure that job, transferable skills and so on.
I always recommend that you start with understanding what you love independent of a specific job or a business.
If you do this then you can select a job or a business (and your role in the business) that will be something that you love.
In essence, you can have a checklist so that you can avoid wasting time, energy and frustration on something that was never going to work anyway.
